Moneta Markets Expands Middle East Presence with UAE CMA Category 5 Licence

by

Moneta Markets has
expanded its regulatory presence in the Middle East after its UAE entity,
Moneta Global Financial Services LLC, received a Category 5 licence from the
United Arab Emirates Capital Market Authority.

The approval comes as
a growing number of international brokers obtain Category 5 licences under the
UAE Capital Market Authority’s regulatory framework. In recent months, firms
including Vantage
, Blueberry, BitDelta
and Kudo.com
have also secured the same licence
as the UAE continues to attract retail
trading firms seeking a regulated presence in the region.

UAE Entity Operates Under CMA Licence

The licence allows
Moneta Markets to operate through a regulated entity in the UAE, a market the
company considers an important regional financial hub. The broker said the
approval supports its long-term expansion strategy and strengthens its
regulatory framework in the region.

Moneta Markets said
the newly licensed entity will provide greater clarity for clients and business
partners regarding its authorised activities in the UAE and the regulatory
oversight governing those operations.

Firm Outlines UAE Operational Plans

The broker also plans
to expand its local presence by investing in staffing, compliance and
governance. It said the UAE entity will support closer relationships with
clients and business partners across the Middle East and North Africa.

Founder and Chief
Executive Officer David Bily said the licence was an important step in the
company’s expansion strategy. He said it reflected Moneta Markets’ “long-term
commitment” to the UAE and its focus on operating through a locally regulated
entity.

The company added that
the new entity will allow it to work more closely with regional stakeholders
and align its operations with local regulatory requirements. It said the
licence also supports its broader strategy of operating through regulated
entities in the jurisdictions where it provides services.

Moneta Markets Entered UAE Market in
2024

In 2024, Moneta Markets expanded its
presence in the UAE by offering services through Sterling Financial Services
,
an SCA-regulated firm. The company said the move formed part of its international
expansion strategy and supported its plans to grow across the Middle East and
North Africa.

It also established a Dubai office,
expanded its local team and said it intended to develop its regional operations
under the UAE regulatory framework.
