DIGITEC Launches D3 DataHub, Moving From FX Pricing Into Market Data Distribution

by

DIGITEC launched D3 DataHub today (Tuesday), a managed platform that pipes market data from several providers into bank systems through a single connection. Four global FX trading banks are running it, the company said, without naming them.

The platform carries feeds from 24X, LMAX Group, New Change FX and SGX FX, alongside the Swaps Data Feed that DIGITEC built with 360T. More providers will be added later, the company said, without giving a timetable.

A Pricing Vendor Moves Into Data Distribution

The launch puts DIGITEC in a different business from the one it is known for. Its established products are the D3 Pricing engine and D3 OMS, sold to bank FX swaps and NDF desks, and the company says more than half of the Euromoney Top 50 FX trading firms use its technology, a figure it has quoted without variation since at least 2021.

DIGITEC already had one data product in the Swaps Data Feed, which draws on 20 independent bank swap curves out to two years. Deutsche Börse has distributed that feed through its CEF service since 2021.

DataHub sells the connection rather than the content. It standardizes provider-specific feeds and delivers them over DIGITEC’s D3 FIX protocol, with monitoring, redundancy and support bundled in.

The Release Describes the Four Banks Two Ways

DIGITEC’s opening paragraph says DataHub is in a live pilot with four global FX trading banks. Radhika Bindiganavile, the company’s product manager for market data, said in the same announcement that it is “already in use at four top tier FX banks.”

Marco Kuper, DIGITEC’s chief product officer

The company did not clarify which description applies, and gave no pricing, no general availability date and no revenue detail. Marco Kuper, DIGITEC’s chief product officer, said the platform cuts integration work by “reducing the burden of onboarding by providing connectivity through a single, standardised layer.” No onboarding time or cost figure was attached to the claim.

Onboarding Cost and Data Fragility Frame the Pitch

What separates DataHub from a generic aggregation layer is the D3 FIX protocol underneath it. A bank already running D3 Pricing connects once and reaches the provider list without building a fresh integration for each feed, which is a narrower proposition than the broad consolidated-feed vendors sell.

Exegy operates Axiom, a consolidated real-time feed, launched its FPGA-based Nexus data platform this year and updated its nxAccess engine in April. Gold-i’s MatrixNET aggregates and distributes across venues and added Crypto.com in March and the onchain options venue Derive.xyz in May. Both sell into a wider client base than bank swaps desks.

There is independent evidence of demand. In a survey of 61 global trading firms published in January by Exegy and Acuiti, almost three quarters said they had seen latency spikes, dropped packets or full outages during high volatility, and 20% reported having no backup market data solution at all. Fewer than a third thought their front office stack could handle expected 2030 volumes without more spending.

Second Product Launch Since the EMH Investment

DataHub is DIGITEC’s second launch in roughly three months. D3 Channels, which automates tiered FX swaps pricing, arrived on April 21 and went live at one European bank.

Both followed a minority investment by funds advised by Munich-based EMH Partners, completed in December, with the founding Joost family keeping majority ownership. Peer Joost, who took over as chief executive in January 2022, said at the time that the plan for 2026 was new services for bank clients.

The provider list carries its own history. 24 Exchange, which trades as 24X, hired James W. Watson as head of OTC market data in December to commercialize data from its NDF business. DIGITEC did not specify which 24X entity supplies the feed. LMAX Group, which holds about 20.8% of New Zealand broker BlackBull, sits on the list alongside benchmark provider New Change FX and SGX FX.

DIGITEC is a family business run from Hamburg, with a London office it opened in 2021 under then chief revenue officer Stephan von Massenbach.
